Indoteak Design Project Spotlight: Monaco Drive Gym & Spa

Some homes exude a different level of design, elegance and beauty. The Monaco Dr. residence, designed by The KAA Design Group, was a challenging hillside project that tasked the designers with an unusual layout for a new pool and gym complex for an existing home. Not many people can boast about having a 6,000 square foot gym and spa area tucked below their existing tennis court. This property design does well at preserving the surrounding landscape, keeping the secluded vibe of the topography. While it’s independent of the tennis court structure above, the new spa houses workout facilities, an Olympic lap pool, steam room, spa baths and lounge.

The views of the Pacific Ocean from the hills above La Jolla Shores in San Diego, California are among the most picturesque in all the State. Kelp beds reflect the afternoon sun as Grey Whales, dolphins and surfers all bask in the glory of the warm summer sea. Reclaimed Teak Masterpiece Residence In San Diego

In the northern region of San Diego county lies a small community that was once an artist and hippie sanctuary in the 1960’s. In recent years properties have been snatched up faster than anytime before by the likes of Ben Stiller, Mark Zuckerberg, Drew Barrymore and Donovan Frankenreiter. With a laid back vibe, lush tropical rain forests and raw, dramatic coastlines, Kauai is experiencing a boom that doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime in the near future.

The Build That Started IndoTeak Design: The Bali House

Located in the Windansea Beach neighborhood of La Jolla California, The “Bali House” is one of the most unique structures in this community. The 9,300 sq. ft. custom home built in 2010 was inspired after the owners many travels to Indonesia. To achieve the look and feel of their dream home, Frank and his wife Amy spared no expense to create this masterpiece.

Frank and Amy Ragen decided they wanted a home with the look and feel of Indonesia. That meant the wood of choice was teak wood. Reclaimed teak to be exact. After having difficulty sourcing the rare wood, they soon had all the reclaimed teak wood they needed.

Recently, San Diego Home and Garden Magazine(May 2017) featured a home that was a perfect blend of contemporary/rustic with a nod towards recycled green material. Since Indoteak Design’s engineered reclaimed teak flooring is certified 100% reclaimed teak. Indoteak Design Project: Reclaimed Teak Flooring Highlights Gorgeous Hawaiian Plantation

This house was designed and built on the north shore of Kauai by the talented Design group, Design Concepts Hawaii managed by Santo Giorgio. The plantation influenced design was completed in 2017 in the beautiful agricultural district of the North Shore of Kauai by Hanalei bay.

The property is spacious and open to the elements, getting all day sunshine and exposed to the fast changing weather conditions prevalent in the Hawaiian Islands.
