The Perry Hotel Key West x Indoteak Design

Much has been written about the Perry Hotel in Key West Florida in 2018. Not only is its modern rustic amenties and stylish ambiance a hit with guests, its also a hit with designers as well. Indoteak Design was spec’d and delivered the gorgeous 100% Reclaimed Teak Patina Flooring found throughout the Perry Hotel.

JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE was the Interior Designer for the guest rooms and public spaces including the lobby, restaurant, public restrooms, pool deck, pool bar, outdoor restaurant, lounge, sunset lounge, and fitness center. Inspiration drawn from the history of Stock Island and Key West, highlighting industrial and rustic aspects while balancing tropical resort amenities.

Hotel Journey East Hampton X Custom Indoteak Cinta Tile

Journey is beautiful rustic, yet contemporary, sanctuary tucked away in the Hamptons. Located by the quaint villages of East Hampton and Amagansett, this boutique hotel has a stunningly renovated 22 rooms. Included on the property are three spacious and secluded cottages, an outdoor private pool (featuring an indoor lounge) and sits close to some of Long Island’s finest beaches. To say this hotel is special is an understatement.

INDOTEAK DESIGN CLIENT PROFILE: LIFE ALIVE RESTAURANT- BACK BAY

Life Alive restaurant, located in Back Bay Boston, was concepted by the interior design firm, Studio Phenomena. Indoteak Design worked closely with Kiki Mobley and Kendall Lowe, the co-owners of Studio Phenomena to create a very colorful and unique tile floor. The client not only wanted something beautiful but also sustainable. After some discussions, the designers wanted the tiles to capture the vibe of colorful area rugs with blending of colors and title shapes. The results are stunning to say the least.

The designs were created by using Indoteak Designs Cinta tile line, which is created from 100% recycled and reclaimed teak wood.

Surfrider Malibu Gets A Facelift With Indoteak Design

The legendary Surfrider Hotel in Malibu California first opened in the 1950’s and was a perfect little motel for visiting surfers who flocked to the famed long green walls of the legendary right point. Pop culture got its first look at Southern California beach lifestyle with the cult classic film “Gidget.” That movie alone turned the sleepy surf town of Malibu into a world wide draw which also watched the surf crowds explode from a few dozen in 1951 to hundreds or new surfers chasing the dream of Gidget by 1957.

That was just the beginning and the little Surfrider Motel was constantly booked solid for decades until it fell under disrepair and was sold in 2013.

Reclaiming The Aloha: Dukes Restaurant in La Jolla, CA

Dukes Restaurant in Waikiki is named after the father of modern surfing, Duke Kahanamoku. The Hawaiian surfing legend was the ambassador of Aloha around the globe as well as an Olympic gold medalist. The Duke took the gold in the 100m freestyle in Stockholm in 1912, Antwerp in 1920 and silver in Paris in 1924. While he is gone, his legacy of aloha remains as strong as ever.

Indoteak Design Tables At The Somerset Chicago

Recently, Luxe Magazine wrote an article about four Chicago restaurants that excel at design. The establishments were: Proxi, Marisol, Steadfast and the Somerset.

Lux magazine says of the build, “New York-based AvroKO reinterpreted the classic country club for its interior design of Somerset, which opened in September.

“Undulating textured- glass screens behind the main bar subtly recall canvas sails; banquettes are adorned in jade upholstery and white piping. The vibe is reminiscent of vintage tennis fashion and evokes the feeling of luxurious club lounges,”.
