Tesse x Indoteak Design: LA Eatery Makes Waves

Stunning is all we can say when we are asked about the project that has helped the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles glean a little of its shine back. Designed by Alexis Readinger of Preen, Inc.

Tesse, whose name is from the French word délicatesse, is a high-end yet relaxed space that blends modern comfort with the style and soul of reclaimed teak that are lining the ceilings of the main floor. The earthy space on the Sunset Strip clocks in at 6000 square feet of peaceful serenity.

Lake Shore Drive buried in snow and people walking briskly down Wacker… “Chi-Town” has to be experienced to understand the energy it emits.

Conference-goers have been accustomed to the finest hotels that line the canal all the way to Navy Pier. The Swiss Hotel was a favorite for many years and now the splashy new “W” Hotel by Marriott, designed by the geniuses at Meyer Davis, sits high upon that list.

The Cohn Group of Restaurants, owner of BO-beau in Long Beach, CA- is a San Diego based group that owns some of the finest eateries in Southern California. For over 33 years, David and Lesley Cohn have made it their mission to elevate the San Diego dining experience to new levels. From their humble start owning a small diner in 1981, Cohn Restaurant Group has grown tremendously and now owns 24 restaurants throughout Southern California.

INDOTEAK DESIGN CLIENT PROFILE: LIFE ALIVE RESTAURANT- BACK BAY

Life Alive restaurant, located in Back Bay Boston, was concepted by the interior design firm, Studio Phenomena. Indoteak Design worked closely with Kiki Mobley and Kendall Lowe, the co-owners of Studio Phenomena to create a very colorful and unique tile floor. The client not only wanted something beautiful but also sustainable. After some discussions, the designers wanted the tiles to capture the vibe of colorful area rugs with blending of colors and title shapes. The results are stunning to say the least.

The designs were created by using Indoteak Designs Cinta tile line, which is created from 100% recycled and reclaimed teak wood.

IndoTeak Design Home Profile: The Hanalei House Kauai

Tucked into Hanalei Bay Kauai, is the small town of Princeville. The once sleepy surf town is now one of the worlds hottest vacation destinations. In recent years properties have been snatched up faster than anytime before by the likes of Ben Stiller, Mark Zuckerberg, Drew Barrymore and Donovan Frankenreiter. With a laid back vibe, lush tropical rain forests and raw, dramatic coastlines, Kauai is experiencing a boom that doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime in the near future.

Located a stones throw from the town and Hanalei Bay is a property that has become one of our favorite projects we have had the pleasure of work.

Indoteak Design Tables At The Somerset Chicago

Recently, Luxe Magazine wrote an article about four Chicago restaurants that excel at design. The establishments were: Proxi, Marisol, Steadfast and the Somerset.

Lux magazine says of the build, “New York-based AvroKO reinterpreted the classic country club for its interior design of Somerset, which opened in September.

“Undulating textured- glass screens behind the main bar subtly recall canvas sails; banquettes are adorned in jade upholstery and white piping. The vibe is reminiscent of vintage tennis fashion and evokes the feeling of luxurious club lounges,”.
