100% Reclaimed Teak Paneling
Freshening up your home with a mini face-lift is one of the easiest ways to change the vibe of your living space. One product that that makes it as easy as it is beautiful is Indoteak Designs 100% reclaimed teak wall paneling. The beauty of this product is that the planks are thin and light, easy to cut and even easier to install, making the DIY aspect a simple day project for the homeowner.
A while back, Kelsie from Design Life Diaries set out to give her bedroom a face-lift and she documented the process of installing our reclaimed teak paneling in her home. These are her photos and notes from her project. Thank you Kelsie for documenting your experience for us!
DIY WOOD ACCENT WALL
“The first project on my list that I begged my husband to take a chance on was a rustic wood wall using reclaimed wood panels. This is something I have been wanting to do for years, but due to pesky apartment rules, I had to put it off until we took the plunge and bought a house. Why do the photos in Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, HGTV, etc. always look so amazing?”
“In a few short hours we were able to completely transform the look of our master bedroom.”

“It’s more than just the furniture and fluffy pillows. Nine times out of ten they have a unique background as the accent wall behind the furniture. Whether the wall is covered in brick, tile, wood, or a painted mural- it helps to either make a statement or tie the whole look of the room together. This extra design element can take any room from ‘ho-hum’ to magazine-worthy in no time.”
“Since Chris and I have never done much home improvements (being new homeowners and all), we were lucky enough to have the help of my father-in-law who happens to be a pro when it comes to these types of home renovation projects. We originally thought the project would take 2-3 days to complete, but Chris’s dad assured us it would only take around 5 hours. Thank goodness he was right! In a few short hours we were able to completely transform the look of our master bedroom.”
